The Second Ellesse Junior Championship Tournament will be held at transformed Cincinnati Open.
All approved players will receive one player credential, and two player support team grounds passes. Credentials will serve as grounds passes to get in and out of the grounds of the Cincinnati Open each day and can be used to watch matches and practices on outer courts and take in the rest of the Cincinnati Open experience. Credentials will be picked up at check-in on Friday, August 21, 2025.
All finalists in boys’ and girls’ singles and doubles will be awarded tickets to Cincinnati Open finals on Sunday, August 23, 2026.Â
Draw, Scoring Formats, Draw Publication and Earliest Match Start Times
Singles
32 Draw – Feed-in through R16
Scoring: Two tiebreak sets, third set with 10-point match tiebreak, regular scoring.
Doubles
16 Draw – Single Elimination
Scoring: 8 game pro set with a 7-point tiebreak at 8 games all, no-ad scoring.
Draw Publication – TBA
Start Times – ALL FIRST ROUND DOUBLES MATCHES START AT 8 AM ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 21st.
Tournament Site and Amenities
You must apply for a credential if you are admitted and playing in the draw. When admitted, you will receive a link to apply for credentials.
Credentials will include a daily meal allowance to be used at Cincinnati Open food vendors. Player gifts can be picked up at player check-in on Friday, August 21.
Tournament Ball
Wilson US Open balls will be used for this event.
Surface
Outdoor Hard. You will be playing on the same courts as the Cincinnati Open.
Officials
All main draw matches will be chaired by USTA Officials. Consolation matches will have either a chaired USTA Official or roving USTA Official depending upon court location.

Day 2: 2 main draw singles, 2 consolation singles, 1 Q-cons playoff, 1 or 2 doubles
Day 3: Finals and 3/4 playoff, 2 cons singles, Q-cons Final, Doubles Final unless played on Day 2

Practice courts will be available at Mason High School beginning Friday, August 21 at 8 a.m. and throughout the weekend on a first come, first served basis.

On-Site Alternates
Due to the nature of the event being on-site of a ticketed event, we are not going to be having on site alternatives. If you will be in town and available in the possibility of a late withdrawing player, please let us know so we can reach out immediately. These players that do get in late as alternates will have to go through the credential process and will then receive the 2 grounds passes after being accepted into the draw.

Trainers
A trainer will be on-site at the Cincinnati Open for the duration of the tournament. Trainer info TBA.
Doubles: 16 Teams
All confirmed and entered players are automatically entered into doubles. Players should email their name and selected partner to Tournament Director Brian Schubert (schubertbh@gmail.com). Partners are not confirmed until you receive a confirmation email. If you do not have a partner, you must email and request to be paired randomly.
