The Cincinnati Open will once again host the ellesse Junior Championships, a USTA-sanctioned national tennis tournament for boys and girls 18-and-under, on Aug. 21-23, taking place across Finals Weekend.

The tournament, organized by the Cincinnati Tennis Foundation in partnership with the Cincinnati Open and ellesse, is a National Level 3 USTA event featuring a 32-player singles draw and a 16-team doubles field selected by national ranking.

Registration is open here until 11:59 a.m. EST on July 23.

Last year’s junior tournament featured players from 27 states including Puerto Rico. Mason, Ohio local Vibha Gogineni won the girls’ title, while New York’s Jack Reis captured the boys’ crown.

“Supporting the next generation of American tennis has always been in the DNA of our ellesse story,” said Duwayne Miller, CEO of The Iconic Brand Corporation, the exclusive U.S. licensee of ellesse. “The Junior Championships bring together the aspirations we have for all who participate in sport: ambition, style and the pursuit of joy in competition, and we couldn’t ask for a better stage to celebrate it than Finals Weekend in Cincinnati.”

With the junior tournament taking place during Finals Weekend, fans will have the chance to watch future stars as the nation’s top young players compete on the same courts as the world’s best professionals. The ellesse Junior Championships will run concurrently alongside the Cincinnati Open’s semifinal and championship matches. Finals Weekend, presented by Credit One Bank and taking place Aug. 22-23, will also feature a reimagined fan experience across the campus, including exclusive merchandise and special performances and programming.

“There’s no better stage for these young players than the same courts as the world’s best, on the biggest weekend of our tournament,” said Cincinnati Open Tournament Director Bob Moran. “We hope the experience of competing, watching and learning alongside the pros stays with them long after they leave Cincinnati.”

The junior singles and doubles finalists will receive tickets to the Cincinnati Open men’s and women’s finals on Aug. 23. Named the 1000 Tournament of the Year by ATP and WTA players in 2025, the Cincinnati Open in one of five tournaments to host both men and women simultaneously at the ATP and WTA 1000 level, one tier below the Grand Slams.

The recently transformed Lindner Family Tennis Center now features 31 outdoor courts, making it possible to host the ellesse Junior Championships alongside one of the world’s premier professional tournaments. The junior matches will take place on Courts 4-18 on the north end of the campus, starting at 8 a.m. on Aug. 21 and 9 a.m. on Aug. 22, with final matches starting at 11 a.m. on Aug. 23.

The venue operates year-round as the Cincinnati Open Sporting and will host 10+ junior and wheelchair tournaments in 2026.
