Following a one-of-a-kind tournament in 2025, resulting in ATP and WTA 1000 Tournament of the Year accolades, the Cincinnati Open is back with a star-studded lineup for the 2026 event.

The initial singles player entries have been revealed for this year’s tournament with the world’s very best eager to return to Cincinnati, August 8-23.

The headliners include world No. 1 superstars Aryna Sabalenka and Jannik Sinner, who both ruled the courts in Cincinnati in 2024. Defending champions Carlos Alcaraz and Iga Swiatek lead 10 previous winners across both fields, with Alexander Zverev (2021), Coco Gauff (2023), Madison Keys (2019) and Novak Djokovic (2023) in the mix to lift the Rookwood Cup again.

“We are excited to welcome the world’s best players back to the Cincinnati Open next month,” said Tournament Director Bob Moran. “To have the available top 75 men and women sign up to compete for this highly coveted title speaks volumes about the importance of this event on the respective calendars. We set an incredibly high bar in 2025 with the extensive and expansive changes made to the player facilities, so it’s extremely satisfying to see the amazing strength of this field come to life.”

Home fans will have plenty to cheer for at the Lindner Family Tennis Center with 24 Americans in the field, including Cincinnati’s very own Caty McNally and Peyton Stearns.

The US has six WTA stars in the Top 30 with world No. 3 Jessica Pegula leading the line-up along with Coco Gauff, Amanda Anisimova, Iva Jovic, Madison Keys and Emma Navarro.

Across to the men’s roster and the US contingent contains some extensive firepower. Top 10 duo Ben Shelton and Taylor Fritz will be amongst the key contenders. Young gun Learner Tien, the blockbuster Frances Tiafoe and Tommy Paul will have their say too.

A total of 43 players heading to Cincinnati (24 men and 19 women) have already captured a title in 2026. Recent Wimbledon champion Sinner, who has dominated the season by holding all five Masters 1000s, leads the ATP with six titles to his name. Can the world No. 1 go one better from his runner-up spot at the 2025 Cincinnati Open?

World No. 1 Sabalenka and Roland-Garros champion Mirra Andreeva have each won a WTA-leading three titles, bringing an abundance of major pedigree to the women’s field.

Czech Wimbledon winner Linda Noskova will be hoping to transfer that success from southwest London to Mason, Ohio. Australian Open champion Elena Rybakina and the rejuvenated four-time major winner Naomi Osaka add some extra stardust too.

Keep an eye out for Philippine trailblazer Alexandra Eala and Brazilian prodigy Joao Fonseca. This duo has ardent, raucous fans in the stands flying their colors wherever they land on the globe.

Former world No. 4 Holger Rune makes a welcome return to the top tier following Achilles surgery. The Dane could be an early danger for a seed as could the likes of Wimbledon semifinalist Arthur Fery or soaring Spaniard Rafael Jodar.

With the full Top 10 competitors on both the men’s and women’s sides and plenty of fresh faces to embrace, it’s a wise move to clear your schedule to join the 2026 Cincinnati Open.
