Thanksgiving Musings

Nov 20, 2025

In honor of the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, consider this the first entry in our newly minted “gratitude journal” – where we express our overwhelming thanks to those who made the 2025 Cincinnati Open a smashing success. To our fans, partners and volunteers: the pie’s the limit with you

Entertain our nostalgia (and Thanksgiving puns) as we reminisce about the transformation and best moments from the 2025 Cincinnati Open.

Pass the practice courts, please

If practice courts at the Cincinnati Open were a Thanksgiving food, they’d be mashed potatoes – because we cannot get enough of them. As part of the $260 million transformation of the Lindner Family Tennis Center, we added a bank of 10 beautiful blue practice courts on the south side of campus.

Terence Atmane has a perpetual invite to Friendsgiving

The Frenchman fought his way out of qualifying and collected a pair of Top 10 wins while he wooed the Cincinnati crowd with his charisma and rocked local gear. Plus, he showed off his magic skills to the Cincy social admin because that’s how he casse-rolls. We’ll always have a seat at our table for you, Terence.

Sweet Potatoes? More like Swia-thankful

Okay, okay… The sweet potato line might be a little overbaked, but we had to give thanks to our beloved Iga Swiatek and Carlos Alcaraz somehow. Two different paths to the Rookwood Cup but the same outcome: freshly crowned Queen and King of the Queen City. On their way to the top, both got to participate in a once-in-a-lifetime experience for fans, surprising the stuffing out of a few lucky groups.

Partner power at the Pavilion

From the Red Bull F1 Simulator to autograph sessions at the Credit One Bank booth, there was always something shaking at the Pavilion. We took advantage of giveaways from Kroger and started manifesting our dream lives with a brand-new Cadillac. We’re even considering adding Veroni charcuterie to our Thanksgiving spread.

We <3 our volunteers

Turkey and Thanksgiving go together like volunteers and the Cincinnati Open. We couldn’t be more grateful for the work, time and talent our volunteers bring to the table. From new volunteers to those who’ve been with the tournament for 40+ years, they’re all part of the fabric that keeps the Cincinnati Open together.

Call it cheesy (potatoes), but gratitude for our fans, partners, volunteers and everyone who touches the Cincinnati Open will be our fuel to continue improving and refining the tournament experience in the future. In 2026, look forward to letting the gourd times roll with even more to see, do and love at the Cincinnati Open. See all you turkeys August 11-23, 2026
