2024 Qualifying Fields Announced

Seven players who have won titles this season are among the entrants for qualifying at the 2024 Cincinnati Open. Seven men and eight women will advance through the two-round qualifying event Aug. 11-12 to the tournament’s main draw.

Cincinnati’s Peyton Stearns is one of three qualifying entrants to have won a WTA title this season, joined by 2016 Cincinnati Open champion Karolina Pliskova and Sloane Stephens. Winners of ATP tournaments this season that are entered into Cincinnati Open qualifying are Marcos GironNuno Borges, Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard and two-time winner Matteo Berrettini.

Stephens, the 2017 US Open winner, is one of two Grand Slam tournament champions in the qualifying field along with Sofia Kenin, 2020 Australian Open winner. The field also includes 23-year-old Lulu Sun who qualified at Wimbledon and advanced to the quarterfinals.

Sixteen WTA players in qualifying are also entered into this summer’s Olympics, while 11 men are due to play the Paris Games before coming to Cincinnati.

The players who advance through qualifying will join main draw fields that are led by World No. 1s Iga Swiatek and Jannik Sinner and include 2023 Cincinnati Open champions Coco Gauff and Novak Djokovic.

Four players will be granted wild cards into each qualifying field.

The 2024 Cincinnati Open will begin with its inaugural Community Day on Aug. 10 featuring an exhibition doubles match starring Andre AgassiAndy RoddickJohn Isner and Mardy Fish with appearances by Stefanie Graf and Lindsay Davenport. The day will also feature special events and an opportunity to watch player practices.
