Cincinnati Open releases 2026 Doubles Field

The doubles fields for the Cincinnati Open have been announced, with past champions, reigning world No. 1s and a host of singles stars entered to compete for this year’s titles during the Aug. 8-23 tournament at the Lindner Family Tennis Center.  

Rajeev Ram and Erin Routliffe both return looking to not only defend a title but win the Cincinnati Open for a third time. Ram, a Carmel, Ind. native and the reigning men’s champion who won with Nikola Mektic in 2025, reunites this year with Joe Salisbury — the pairing that won the Cincinnati Open title in 2022. Mektic will look for his second straight title as he partners American Austin Krajicek. 

New Zealand’s Routliffe will be pursuing a third straight Cincinnati championship as she teams with Aldila Sutjiadi in August. In 2024, Routliffe claimed the championship with Asia Muhammad, who is entered this year with Fanny Stollar, and last year was victorious alongside Gabriela Dabrowski, who will play this year with Luisa Stefani.  

Two other past championship pairings in the field are 2024 Cincinnati Open winners Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic, and 2021 titlists Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos. Wimbledon champions Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten are entering as the world’s No. 1-ranked doubles duo. They are joined by Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz, Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori, the all-British duo of Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool, and cousins Arthur Rinderknech and Valentin Vacherot.  

The top-ranked women’s team is Katerina Siniakova and Taylor Townsend, 2023 Cincinnati doubles champion. Siniakova and Townsend are joined by 2021 winner Zhang Shuai, entered with Xinyu Jiang, and 2020 champion Demi Schuurs, who partners Ellen Perez. 

Several of the game’s biggest singles names have entered the doubles draw. Daniil Medvedev teams with American Learner Tien, while Karen Khachanov and Andrey Rublev pair up. Alexander Zverev partners veteran Marcelo Melo, Lorenzo Musetti joins Matteo Arnaldi, Casper Ruud plays alongside Andre Goransson, and Tommy Paul teams with fellow American Ethan Quinn. 

The women’s field includes Top 25 singles players Diana Shnaider and Elise Mertens, who will team up together. Other singles players in action include 2022 doubles champion Jelena Ostapenko, who is partnering with 2013 champion Hsieh Su-Wei, Leylah Fernandez, who is playing with Olympic gold medalist Sara Errani, and Cristina Bucsa as she teams with Nicole Melichar-Martinez. 

The initial entrants include: 

• All four reigning Cincinnati Open doubles champions — Mektic, Ram, Dabrowski and Routliffe — each entered with new partners 

• Three former Cincinnati Open championship teams and 19 total past champions across the two draws  

• Reigning world No. 1 doubles players in both the men’s and women’s fields 

There will be 32 teams in each doubles field, with wild cards and additional on-site entries to be announced later.  

The 2026 Cincinnati Open begins with Community Weekend on Aug. 8-9 and concludes with Finals Weekend, presented by Credit One Bank, on Aug. 22-23, featuring the women’s doubles final on Sat, Aug. 22 and the men’s doubles final on Sun, Aug. 23.
