Want to go grab a drink? Get some food? Use the bathroom? Now you can freely move in and out of your seats during a match without worrying about missing a chunk of the action. No need to wait for a changeover!
New rules from the ATP and WTA Tours are allowing fan movement around the court throughout the first five games of any set, with the exception of the areas directly behind the players.
This means movement along the baselines and corners in the lower level and any courtside seating is prohibited. However, fans along the sidelines in the lower level and all fans in the upper level can move freely for the first five games of a set. After the fifth game, fans in the lower level of a court are required to remain in their seats and wait for a changeover before moving. Fans in upper-level seats will continue to be able to move freely throughout the match.
